Land clearing in the Lake Norman area
We take raw, overgrown ground and hand it back as a workable lot. That means the timber, the understory, the root balls and the stumps — off the property or ground into mulch on site, whichever costs you less.
Most residential lots around Lake Norman run one to five acres and clear in two to four days. We walk the property first, mark what stays, and give you a fixed number before a machine ever rolls off the trailer.

What's included
- Selective clearing that protects the specimen trees you want to keep
- Stump grinding or full root-ball extraction, depending on what gets built there
- Debris hauled off by the load or mulched in place to save on trucking
- Silt fence and erosion control installed before the first cut
- Burn permits and Iredell / Mecklenburg County requirements handled by us

Land Clearing questions
How much does it cost to clear an acre near Lake Norman?
Most acreage in this area runs between $2,500 and $6,500 per acre. The spread comes down to tree density, stump disposal and how far the debris has to travel. We give a fixed written price after walking the lot, so the number you approve is the number you pay.
How long does clearing take?
A typical one-acre residential lot is a one to two day job. Five acres of heavy hardwood can run a full week. Access and weather drive the schedule more than acreage does.
Do I need a permit to clear my land in Iredell County?
Anything disturbing more than one acre triggers a state erosion and sedimentation control plan, and lakefront parcels carry additional buffer rules. We handle the filings and install the required controls as part of the job.
