Hydroseeding and slope stabilisation
Hydroseed is seed, fertiliser, mulch and tackifier sprayed as one slurry. It germinates faster and more evenly than broadcast seed, and the tackifier holds it on grades too steep for straw to stay put.
It is the standard finish on a graded lot: it locks the topsoil down, satisfies the stabilisation requirement on your erosion control plan, and gets you a lawn instead of a mud field.

What's included
- Fescue blends selected for Piedmont North Carolina soil and sun
- Tackified slurry that holds on slopes where straw blows off
- Full lawn establishment on new construction
- Slope and shoulder stabilisation to close out erosion control permits
- Lime and starter fertiliser incorporated in the same pass

Straight answers
Hydroseeding questions
How long does hydroseed take to grow?
Germination typically shows in 7 to 14 days, with usable cover in about a month given consistent water. The first three weeks of watering matter more than anything else you can do.
Is hydroseeding better than sod?
It is far cheaper per square foot and roots deeper because the grass establishes in place. Sod wins when you need an instant lawn or it is the wrong season. For a freshly graded acre, hydroseed is almost always the right call.
